Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a treatment using fine needles at specific points on the body.

Ear acupuncture is particularly effective.

Ear acupuncture can be used as a supportive treatment or separately for many illnesses.

By needling the reflex points on the ear, a therapeutic stimulus is exerted on the corresponding organ or on the affected body region.

Ear acupuncture for obesity?

There are so-called addiction points on the ear that can effectively suppress the urge to overeat. I also like to use semi-permanent needles or ear seeds for this, which remain in the ear for a few days. Semi-permanent needles are tiny needles (approx. 2 mm) that are attached to the corresponding point on the ear with an adhesive bandage, allowing the patient to stimulate them as needed. Applying pressure can intensify the effect and thus, for example, alleviate cravings. Alternatively, small ear seeds can be fixed to the point with an adhesive bandage instead of semi-permanent needles.

"So I'll lose weight through ear acupuncture?" NO, you lose weight when you change your diet accordingly, i.e., eat less. Ear acupuncture can support you in this by suppressing cravings for excessive eating.

Acupuncture is not a miracle cure for weight loss and will only be effective in the long term if dietary changes are also made. However, as described above, it can support weight loss and metabolism, as well as curb cravings.
